Coaches Need To Know.png

Coaches should know that i’m a very coachable athlete, and that I try to limit making the same mistakes over and over again. I have recently picked up the leadership mindset going into my senior year and making sure that as the oldest guy, I am a great role model for whoever is behind me, while most importantly being a student athlete who prioritizes his academics over sports.

My first season on defense as an incoming junior was a little rough because I wasn't as smooth as I expected to be or not as smooth as the seniors ahead of me were. So, after months of offseason training, I got better and started to understand the other side of the ball better and that helped me become a complete player and help be a contributing factor to my team.

This season I hope to accomplish better stats than I did last year. I’m holding myself to having a minimum of at least 6 picks and 35-40 tackles so I can feel like I have achieved something bigger than me and be better than my boys that I used to look up too.

I feel like I should be recruited because I am an all around athlete. I can play nickel/cb and that I am very versatile in my game play. I am very coachable and always willing to ask questions when confused. Also with me being 5’ 9 160 I have a chip on my shoulder because when opponents see me they already think its gonna be a long game, so I have to show them I can play ball.

This last offseason, I spent time developing in the areas I struggled with, and I know this season that those changes will help my team. I want to be the best I can be for the team

Trevon hasn't been at the position for very long, so I still consider him a raw talent. He has not begun to touch the levels he will reach as he becomes more comfortable at the position.

Polk is solid in man-to-man coverage and excels in press coverage. He can also execute in zone coverage as well. He has excellent ball skills developed from his offensive background. His instincts are very good and Trevon is a very smart player.

I know for sure the love this young man has for the game of football. He spends a lot of time in the weight room building his body but also works hard perfecting his cover skills
