If Service Is Beneath You

True leadership begins with service. Many people want the title, the spotlight, or the recognition—but few are willing to do the work that no one sees. If serving others feels beneath you, then true success will always stay out of reach.
Service reveals character. It shows humility, gratitude, and a willingness to put others first. Whether it’s cleaning up after practice, helping a teammate learn a play, or volunteering your time, the way you serve speaks louder than any words.
Great leaders don’t stand above others—they stand beside them. They understand that serving doesn’t make you smaller; it makes you stronger. Every great team, business, or community is built on people who are willing to serve without complaining or seeking attention.
So, if you ever think a task is “too small,” remember—how you handle small things determines how you’ll handle big opportunities. When service is your foundation, leadership becomes your natural outcome.
