Coach Rod Evan.png

We are aware that Logan is a great quarterback for his team and will get offered to play quarterback at some school at the next level. For this profile, I want to discuss the gifts he has on the defensive side of the ball. He is a 2-way player for the Shamokin Area team located in the state of Pennsylvania. The quarterback position has helped him greatly as a Free Safety in the defensive back field and I will explain why.

I want to start with Logan's ability to be the quarterback of the defense. He knows how to get the defense into the right calls and alignments pre snap. He is a very intelligent player with great football IQ. He is never out of position he is not known for making mistakes on either side of the ball.

Just to let you know, I really believe in his athleticism. He has been timed at a 4.55 in the 40-yard dash and on film you can see Steele's ability to smoothly change directions. Another good thing about him at the safety spot is the instincts. He knows how to read the quarterback shoulders, direction of the pass and releases for defense. He tracks the ball very well and has a few interceptions.

He reminds me of my old Wisconsin Badgers team make Jim Leonhard, who played in the NFL with the Jets, Bills and Broncos, and now the current defensive back coach for Denver. Logan has great ball skills and awareness just like Jim.  He is only a sophomore with two additional years remaining and I believe he will only get better with more experience on the varsity level.
