Coaches Need To Know.png

Coaches should know I’m a momentum shifter, and when ball comes my way most of the time the receiver will not catch it. I have confidence that I can compete with the best competition that is out there. I’m a great student who accomplished a 3.67 GPA in my classes last semester. I am certainly committed to my studies.

I bring the energy on the field and when my teammates make a play, I’m always hyping them up, trying to give them the confidence so they can go make more plays. My team is important to me, and I work to lead by example, so that we succeed.

My Junior season, I had 5 INTs and 8 PBUs eventually, receiving All League Honors but also accomplishing top 10 in North Coast Section for INTs. This season I have been working to take my game to the next level. I feel like every year I will get better and show that I can and will be a competitor at any level and any school.

I’m also hoping to go to state Championship, win Defensive League MVP and get 7 INTs to be specific. Coaches need to know that I’m a ball hawk, I got a knack for finding the ball when it’s in the air. I’m always trying to be better, after practice I’ll grab a teammate and do an extra 15 minutes every day of press work, breaks, opening hip drills, maintaining leverage, etc. I also believe I can play safety as well, although I don’t play it for my high school team, for my 7on7 squad (KT Prep), I’d only play safety in games to master both positions for the next level I’d be ready for any opportunity.

I really just want the work, no matter where I am placed on the field. This game means a lot to me, and I am climbing towards being ready to dominate at the next level, but before I can do that, I will tackle my goals at this high school level

Coach Rod Evan.png

It's clear that Landon has really good football instincts and stands out on the defense. He displays excellent ball skills and sure hands. He tracks the ball in the air and gets his body in position to intercept the passes throwing his way.

In coverage, he is always in the best position to keep his component from completing a pass. Those are qualities that we love in a cornerback.

The things that college coaches would be concerned about in coverage is the press. Landon usually opens the gate and doesn't play basketball at the line of scrimmage with the receiver. He is comfortable playing off-man coverage. I believe Landon has good eye discipline which helps him in cover
